My Life in Bridgeton
By Cristian
May 3, 2009 was a sad day for me! On that day I arrived to the United States. I traveled to Bridgeton from Mexico by plane I came with my parents and brothers. I was so scared I didn't know anyone in Bridgeton but we did have a place to live. Since that time, I have seen and done a lot. I also have learned many new things.
At first I didn't like Bridgeton. It was very different from Mexico city, my hometown. It seemed quieter and less interesting. I felt homesick for the excitement of Mexico. Since that time, I have seen many curios and exciting places. I have also learned a lot.
Bridgeton was very strange in the beginning. It was very different from Mexico, my hometown. Bridgeton seemed small and unexciting. I saw no grand buildings, some areas of the town seemed clean and modern, others appeared old and dirty. Since than I have became familiar with Bridgeton and I like it better. I have visited the Bridgeton city park. I have gone to Atlantic city. I have also eaten in splendid restaurants. Now I know that Bridgeton is as exciting and alive as Mexico.
When I first arrived, I felt so confused and lost I didn’t know any English at all. Since than, I have learned a lot of English.
My family and I intend to stay in Bridgeton forever. This is our new home. I also hope to visit my grand parents and my friends I don't want them to forget me I would never forget them.
